They have not met for a few months, correct? How about participation in Kid's Day and invitation to work on MPO's regional bike plan?

Agenda Item 6 (Report from Kid's Day)
Emily talks about kids day on July 20th. Marilyn conducted helmet fittings and Emily helped kids inflate bike tires. She said about 100 kids came through the BB&T bank parking lot and all had a great time. She did mention that Main Street Morgantown felt it was irresponsible to promote a bike valet service for the event, and wanted to note this so that we remember there is much public education to do.
Emily also talked about how it was a collaborative event with Positive Spin. Depending on how you do the math, 75% - 100% of the people at the tent were from PS, and that's not including the 2 who were at the PS Shop for an early opening to coincide with the event. PS wants to be on the City's radar screen, too. :)

Emily, Traci and Frank have been meeting to develop of presentation of BB duties, accomplishments and plans for the October 29 City Council Committee of the Whole meeting. The desired outcome of the meeting is CC action to get the Greater Morgantown Bicycle Plan implemented.
We have scheduled 15 minutes on the CC COW agenda with 5 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for discussion. During the presentation, Emily and Traci will review the BB purpose and duties as specified in the BB Procedural Guidelines ( http://bikemorgantown.com/bikeboard.php ); BB accomplishments; top priority no-cost projects in the Greater Morgantown Bicycle Plan ( http://bikemorgantown.com/Plan/morgantown_bicycle_plan_v15.pdf )
One thing we did is identify and prioritize no-cost projects from the Greater Morgantown Bicycle Plan. Attached is a list of the top 7.
Last Wednesday, with Emily leading, we met with Jeff Mikorski to seek his guidance for the CC COW meeting. We discussed the attached list of top priorities. Jeff reviewed the status of some of them and committed to getting them all done if possible. Jeff challenged us to show him and City Council that our work has increased bicycle use and how our planned projects will increase bicycle use.
AT TOMORROW'S BICYCLE BOARD MEETING, I WOULD LIKE THE BICYCLE BOARD TO DETERMINE HOW WE CAN SHOW THAT OUR WORK HAS INCREASED BICYCLE USE AND HOW WE CAN SHOW THAT OUR PLAN WILL INCREASE BICYCLE USE.
