The blood drive will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms, located on the second floor. Eligible donors must be healthy, at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and may not have given whole blood in the past 56 days, or a double red cell donation in the last 112 days. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with live entertainment beginning at 5:30 p.m. All net proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Bonnie’s Bus, the University's mobile digital mammography unit that travels across West Virginia, offering screening mammograms. Long time no see. Glad to see that things are happening. And in that vein, hows about we update some of the info on the web site? http://bikemorgantown.com/bikeboard.php Someone want to give me an updated list of folks, their precincts, and/or positions? http://bikemorgantown.com/bikelaw.php Yes, Morgantown fiddled with their listing for law stuff, so I need to see if it can get linked... again. http://bikemorgantown.com/route_map.php Guess google no longer likes their own KML files. Anyone try to update this, or have any other idea? Any thing else? Let me know... Ride on.

All, A city resident posted a link in a neighborhood association group to a page on the city website <http://www.morgantownwv.gov/vacancies-on-city-boards-and-commissions/>. This page lists current boards and commissions that are seeking members to fill out their respective boards. As soon as we get a specific handle on our board deficiencies perhaps it would be helpful to our recruiting efforts if our board was also listed on this page? Regarding those specific deficiencies, how is our audit of active board members coming along? Is there anything to be done in that regard from this mailing list? Best, Drew Gatlin

Mon Blvd. Bicycle Climbing lane

Fouad resists installing the Mon Blvd. Bicycle Climbing lane because a falling rock might hit a cyclist. Attached are two photos of Huntington bike lanes that were installed in the door zone. The probability of a cyclist getting hit in these door zone bike lanes by an opening vehicle door is much higher than a cyclist riding up Mon Blvd. getting hit by a rock and yet, WVDOH must have approved these DZBLs if not actually installed them.
