Frank, Just viewed all of the PSAs. I know it's probably too late to make changes but I might suggest the following additions:
- Put a link to the Morgantown and WV statutes affecting cyclists in the closing page of the ads
- Cite the specific statute that gives the exact wording of the "Same Rights, Same Rules" statement.
In my youth I was cited for a violation (at age 14) which I wasn't clear on, only to be told that I am supposed to follow the same rules as all vehicles - yet no one could tell me where to find out what those rules are. Since they are so readily available on the internet it makes sense to give the link. Alternatively you might put a page up on the bike board site giving a suitable paraphrasing, like we've done at Positive Spin: http://www.positivespin.org/PS_LawBrochure.pdf
Thanks, Nick

Bicycle Board Members,
Please find attached 3 documents:
- Suggested agenda for this Thursday's Bicycle Board meeting.
- Minutes of last month's meeting.
- Education highlights.
The video spots are complete. If you want to view them, go to
and input password: morgantown
For Thursday's meeting, think about bicycling issues and needs that you will present to the statewide Metropolitan Planning Organization conference in October. Also, think about where around Morgantown you'll take them in a "mobile laboratory" (bus) and how you'll persuade them to make improvements.
