Frank, I'm in a bit of a quandry over your request. My committee members haven't had time to respond or assist in the presentation so what you are looking at is an unreviewed rush-job presentation because of the number of other things I'm trying to do. I can have a final version early next week. Tonite I can give an oral description of what will be in the recommendation. That will be 2 rings of horizontal-storage cabinets from either Bike-Gard or American Security. Each ring can accomodate 12 bikes, and costs about $1000/bike (not including shipping and assembly, site prep)
The 2 sites would be 1) Hazel-Ruby Waterfront Park 2) An undetermined downtown location. The space requirement would be a circular area of 25' diameter.
The Bike Tree company hasn't yet started US production (expected late 2007) and costs work out to about $2500/bike, making it more suitable for a bike-sharing network rather than public storage.
An additional complication is that 2 of the vendors only returned my calls today. My apologies for not having final results sooner, it's the best I could do under the circumstances.
