Does a bike lane encourage pedestrians? I'd think additional people would be inclined to walk that as its more direct for some than walking via Univ Ave.
Good point. Any idea how much increase? From? To?
Any body have numbers how many folks walk up and down the Blvd now? I would certainly think they a few folks living down there around the Blvd would be more inclined to walk up a nice somewhat calm and safe Blvd vs. 8th St., but how much calmer and/or more attractive is a "bike lane" gonna make that?
It's still a pretty busy, fast, noisy and dirty road in my book. 8th st. I believe is still more calm.
Perhaps we need to ask some folks! But then were asking for the peds, and that's not what we're here for...

Bicycle Board Members,
Attached is a rudimentary application for a grant to support the Mon Blvd. bicycle climbing lane.
I could use some help determining how many cyclists currently ride that shoulder, estimating the impact of the bike lane and then how to measure it. See sections 2d and 3. If you have any ideas, I'd appreciate your sharing them with me. No hurry. The deadline for this isn't until April but hey, it's raining outside now but I plan to be riding then.
Thanks!
Frank
