Hi all, please see the attached draft minutes from our May meeting last week, and the prioritized list of projects to work on before the August Bicycle Friendly Community application deadline. We will have bike checks, a skills test ride, and a bike giveaway from Positive Spin. Yes We Can Ability Ride, May 21 - we need BB volunteers to show up and hand out flyers for the bike rodeo, and maybe pass out bike usage surveys too. Email me if you want to participate. July 4th parade - we're looking for brave volunteers to ride with Morgantown area kids as they open the 4th of July parade! The parade opens with a kids' ride down High Street, we're looking for additional volunteers to serve as ride escorts. Meet at the top of High Street at 4:00pm on July 4th. Role call for Meeting tonight - potential conflicts

Hello all! I'm excited for our meeting - and we definitely have a full agenda (as per usual!). However, we have two presidential candidates visiting our state holding last-minute rallies at the same time our meeting is scheduled tonight. The fervor surrounding the national elections leads me to believe that a number of folks may want to attend those rallies. We've been doing well to keep quorum for voting in the past meetings - will we have quorum tonight? Or are you planning to attend one of these rallies? No pressure either way - I'm just hoping to get my finger on the pulse. Thanks!Drew

Any "extra" bike racks?

Join Positive Spins Search Committee

At our last Bicycle Board Meeting I brought up the issue that Positive Spin is in the process of finding a new location, and to help facilitate this process we are organizing a formal search committee. The Bicycle Board was instrumental in keeping Positive Spin open when it fell into dire trouble in 2012-13 and was about to be liquidated. A few people have already by their own initiative performed preliminary research and suggested creative solutions. What we want to do now is to collate everyone's ideas so that all possibilities can be carefully explored. After which we will potentially sign a lease with the best property or embark on negotiations, partnerships and/or fundraisers to realize to best solution. If you are interested in committing a little of your time to the objective of helping Positive Spin find a new location, please email me back. There will be infrequent meetings, some in person, and others that can be accomplished by teleconference. Looking forward to your help in any capacity, Jonathan Chair of Positive Spin
