I picked up a new magazine (started Jan 2008) in Office Depot yesterday called livebetter: http://www.centerforabetterlife.com/eng/magazine/
Here is how they describe their "sustainability" purpose: http://www.centerforabetterlife.com/eng/about/
They have some interesting partners, and they are located in Newburg, WV. Perhaps we should get on their list.
Does anyone know anything about them?

When it comes ot the NIETC I'd say every little bit helps.

While they have been active on the TrAILCo issue, I noticed that, among the "partners" listed on their web page is Mark Rey, a former timber industry lobbyist, now undersecretary of Agriculture with oversight over National Forests. He has been noteworthy for the vehemence with which he has attacked environmental regulations that get in the way of industry.
I suspect their approach is to appear "balanced" and avoid appearing "strident" (although that appears to change when the issue is in their back yard).

I noticed that as well and they also list Robert Duvall and his wife who live in the Middleburg, VA horse country. I am not sure if they are trying to be balanced or are just taking literally any body into the fold without vetting their affiliations or interests. Also, much on the website has not be filled in (blank links), so it seems to be a work in progress. my 2 cents, paul p.s. if someone from the committee want to "Join" this group then we could monitor it a bit closer esp their activities on NIETC.
