It is very difficult to get someone to believe something if his income depends on him not believing it. What would be even more enlightening is to investigate exactly how Manchin's Enersystems makes their money. One concern is that coal companies are throwing him business in exchange for political favors, but since it goes through a business in a blind trust, these "bribes" do not violate ethics rules or even need to be reported, even though Manchin gets rich.
