Blank The Marion County Commission approved a lease agreement with Chesapeake Energy on Wednesday that allows the company to drill at the Poor Farm/BMX track and on a hillside by Curtisville Lake.
They want to use the money (if any) to improve recreation - which they will need to do after Chesapeake tears up the place. Gas exploitation is not easy on the land...!
