I HAVE ATTACHED A NOTICE OF HEARING OF A STATUS CONFERENCE FOR SEPTEMBER 14, 2007. ADDITIONALLY, IN THIS NOTICE THE PSC SETS EVIDENTIARY HEARINGS FOR 11-28 AND 12-7. FINALLY, THE PSC NOTES THAT IT WILL HAVE PUBLIC HEARINGS IN A NUMBER OF COUNTIES AFFECTED BY THE PROPOSED LINE.
THIS EFFECTIVELY SETS THE DEADLINE FOR US TO GET TESTIMONY FROM AN EXPERT. WE SHOULD FOCUS ON OUR POSSIBLE EXPERTS WITH THE 11-28 AND 12-7 DATES IN MIND. OUR TESTIMONY WOULD NEED TO BE ON FILE IN ADVANCE OF THOSE DATES. I WILL ADVISE AS TO THE SPECIFIC DATE IT IS DUE.

A realistic schedule would be to expect to have expert testimony 4-6 weeks in advance of the evidentiary hearings, with rebuttal testimony due 2-4 weeks before the hearings. So we need to have an expert identified by mid September if that [person is to get a month to prepare and be ready by late November. Sooner would be better.
