America's Wild Legacy Conservation Initiative Committee (AWL) has been tasked with implementation of the Stop Destructive Energy Development on Public Lands issue of national concern. Energy transmission/corridors posses a huge threat to public lands and their proliferation has helped feed our national hunger for increasing amounts of energy regardless of its origin or ecological or human ramifications.
As a solutions driven organization, Sierra Club has the duty to proactively step forward with answers to siting, corridor and energy development questions. Please join us for a conference call to help frame Sierra Club's work on this important issue and to create a project team of leaders to oversee the implementation of our goals.
