A more complete story by Ken Ward is in today's Charleston Gazette.
The funding issue has always been what drives coal plants, so the decision by DOE to shelve funding for the proposal is good news. Nevertheless, DOE did not revise their EIS, and I would feel more comfortable if the air permit were revoked. Then it would be truly dead and an entirely new proposal would be needed. Otherwise, these ideas have a way of rising from the dead with every shift of the market, so permanent nails in the coffin would be nice.
Nevertheless, I will take 'em any way I can get 'em.

I received word from Jim Zoia's office that the DOE has declared that the project "is not moving forward."
That's the third coal fired power plant we have defeated in the Greenbrier Valley. __._,_.___ Messages in this topic (1) Reply (via web post) | Start a new topic Messages | Files | Photos | Links | Database | Polls | Members | Calendar
