I would search National Renewable Energy Laboratory's web page and data bases. I believe that NREL is supposed to be he Federal Keeper of all data and design criteria for renewable energy.

Anyone out there know of any research about whether there has been an increase in wind across the country in recent years and, if so, possible causes.
The ex of one of my wife’s friends is a cross-country truck driver. Apparently in his circles there is a belief that wind speeds have increased in recent years and there is a dialogue going on speculating as to whether it is caused by all the new “wind-mills” or climate change. I’ve been asked if I know anything about this and I don’t.
I would say anecdotally, and as a person who travels the highways a lot that I tend to agree recent years have been a bit windier.
