To: CLEAR Participants and Friends.
We have one final opportunity to provide written input to the Recreation Plan for the Cheat Lake Park and Trail.
So, please send me an email a.s.a.p., by the end of Friday of this week, to comment on one or more of the
following topics.
1. Do you support nature programs at the Park for children and families?
2. Do you support the opening of the south trail a month early and one additional month in the fall each year?
3. Do you support a swimming beach at the Mill Stone Point, near the day-use boat docks?
4. Do you support the interconnection of the Cheat Lake Trail with the Sheepskin Trail, at the Dam, to interconnect with other Trails in Pennsylvania (to Uniontown and beyond) and to Morgantown (from Point Marion)?
5. What other topics do you feel need special attention during the next three years, for example, hill side subsidence, debris collection in the backwaters, shoreline erosion, acid-mine seepage, or what else....??
6. One idea is to have a local agency, maybe an existing one or a new non-profit agency, to take over the Recreation Program for the Cheat Lake Park and Trail, to help integrate the programs with others in the County and with the transition to the major interconnections of the regional trails system....? PLEASE COMMENT!
