Note. CLEAR opposed the attached permit for renewal of a surface coal mine on Beaver Creek of the Blackwater River of the Cheat River. CLEAR recommended that if the permit is approved, continuous monitor of pH and conductivity would be practical and useful to help protect the waters downstream of the mining and reclamation activities.
The permit has been approved, as shown in the attachment.
