It sure sounds fishy to me, as I’ve been doing science since 1953. I started a Physics Department at a small college and was head of the Department for five years. I also served as Director of the Nuclear Radiation Laboratory after training by the U. S. Atomic Energy Commission. Then, years later in my last full time job, I supervised data acquisition and processing for CONSOL R & D; this included on-site work inside coal fired electric generating stations. I can tell you more about digital computers, computation algorithms, on-line data transfer, and output modes, as time allows.
Your work on expanding internet access will be beneficial to many of our residents. The bandwidth or data rate should not be compromised by facilities not in the public interest. And, at some point in time, our county needs to take climate change seriously? There could even be foreign companies behind some of the confidential financing that goes into West Virginia, certainly out-of-state ones.
If it is a Bitcoin Mining Center, or other gaming scheme, our organization wants to oppose it. If we don’t find out something soon, I would assume that it is not in the public interest?
