Here is an update about where the panel discussions will be held from the organizer, Brad Deel. I hope a few of you can attend and report back:
In my correspondence with the schedule, I stated that the location for the roundtable discussions would be in the Erma Byrd Art Gallery. That has been changed. Both of the roundtable discussions will be held in the Frankenberger Art Gallery. To reach the Frankenberger Art Gallery, go into the Geary Student Union. Directions:
Drive onto the UC campus and turn left at the bottom of the hill. The first parking lot on your right is the Visitor's lot and you can park there. As you stand in the Visitor's lot, you will see Riggleman Hall to your immediate right and the Geary Student Union to your immediate left connected by a catwalk. As you enter the Geary Student Union, you will see a Starbucks on your right and a door to a set of stairs to your left. Take the stairs to the second floor. When you exit the stairwell, turn left and the first door on your left is the Frankenberger Art Gallery.

Our own Becky Cain-Ceperly who served as LWVWV President (1983-1987) and LWVUS President (1992-1998) will take part on one of the panels!

This event will take place Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in the Erma Byrd Gallery, third floor of Riggleman Hall, University of Charleston campus.

She has also served as a senior administrator in a management consulting firm and worked at the federal Department of Energy, Department of Education, and Office of Economic Opportunity. She is an elected member of the National Academy of Public Administration. Tate also serves on the Advisory Committee of George Washington University's School of Public Policy and Public Administration and as a citizen representative on the Audit Commission of Arlington County, VA. She has a BA in political science from Stanford University and a Master's degree in public administration from George Washington University.
Tate is the co-chair of the 2020 Women's Vote Centennial Initiative, a national collaborative effort to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, recognizing the right of women to vote.
