I agree, it would be great if we can have a volunteer at the shop that day to direct the service work.  Could be cleaning the shop, painting, and simple bike work.  Jonathan, let me know if that is of interest and I will make sure it is an option for the students.

Hello All,

This might be a good opportunity to host students at the shop for any larger maintenance or other projects (see below).

Feel free to reach out to Leah directly if there's interest in setting something up.

Best,
Emily

Subject: Request for Projects: Adventure WV Day of Service- Aug 16th
To:

Hello!
My name is Leah Cunningham, and I'm the AmeriCorps VISTA at WVU's Center for Civic Engagement. I'm writing to you in hopes that you could host 25-30 student volunteers for Adventure WV's annual Day of Service, on Friday, August 16th. The students are brand-new incoming freshman for the Fall 2013 semester.
The project time is from 9am-3pm, and we are willing to help with any and all projects. Transportation and lunch will be provided for volunteers.
Please let me know if you would be interested in hosting students for a volunteer project!
Cheers!
~Leah
