As of this season we can now receive credit card payments with a PayPal Here swipe device. This new shop feature is quite popular with patrons, and now represents a significant percentage of our funding from sales of recycled bicycles. However, we currently do not have a dedicated iPad, iPhone or Android device for our volunteer sales people, and while several have their own phones, many do not have the correct device.
Below are the requirements for a used iPad, iPhone or Android. It is Earth Day month and it is time to recycle your old electronics to a good cause, Positive Spin! In order to run PayPal Here, an Android device must include the following specifications:
- Android version 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) or later
- 3.5 mm headset jack with microphone
- Support for Location Services
- Internet access (via WiFi or cellular data network)
At this time, PayPal Here is not supported on Android tablets.
