Dear Friends of Positive Spin,

This September 28th marks a special opportunity to give back to the community! Three of our dedicated volunteers—Julia Miller, Scott Brylow (Team Mars), and Coby Sovel—are riding in the MRTCentury to raise essential funds to keep our incredible rail trail system maintained and thriving. The rail trail has given so much to Morgantown, and now it's time for us to give back.

While they’re out riding to support this vital cause, Positive Spin will also be on the ground at the Huntington Bank parking lot (just around the corner from our shop) from 2–5pm providing free bicycle repairs at “The Take Care Event,” hosted by Mountaineer Food Bank and Huntington Bank. This event, honoring Hunger Action Month, is a fantastic way to connect with local resources, food pantries, and nonprofits while enjoying some free services!

Our riders—Julia, Scott, and Coby on Saturday, and Jonathan Rosenbaum on Thursday, October 3rd—are riding to ensure the rail trail remains a cherished asset for everyone. Many of the bikes we sell at Positive Spin are ridden on the rail trail, and the funds raised will help protect this vital resource for years to come.

Here’s where we need your help:

If you’ve ever enjoyed the rail trail or benefited from our efforts at Positive Spin, we encourage you to sponsor one or more of our riders. Even a $5 donation from every subscriber would make a significant difference—covering over 25% of the fundraiser’s goal! We’ve already contributed 12.5% of the total fundraising effort, but there’s more to be done. Remember, every donation helps keep both our shop and the rail trail rolling.

Sponsor Our Riders:

Training for this century ride has been a rewarding and inspiring journey for all of us, and we hope to see more of you joining the ride next year. Let’s make this event one to remember—together we can sustain the rail trail that gives us so much.

Thank you for your continued support!

Warm regards,
Jonathan Rosenbaum
