Thursday night, we had a big win on the MVP front when Sen. Manchin failed to get enough support to have his permitting reforms (including "Completing the MVP") attached to the National Defense Authorization Act.

BUT he doesn't give up! If Manchin gets his wish list attached to the upcoming omnibus spending bill this week, it is Game Over! The MVP will be mandated, agencies will be directed to issue permits and our court challenges will be switched from the Fourth Circuit to the DC Circuit with the expectation of prompt decisions in MVP's favor.

Please add your voice NOW to calls being made to key members of Congress. The message below from Appalachian Voices gives sample scripts and phone numbers for a handful of Senators and Representatives whose opinion and votes are crucial right now.

List 1 is top priority asap TODAY, because these are the Senate and House leaders who may be considering this weekend whether to include Manchin's 'dirty deal' permitting bill as early as Monday. Lists 2 and 3 are also important to reach out to this weekend or early in the week (or both!!) You can call more than once.
