With Your Help, We're Going to the Virginia Supreme Court

Dear Duane,
Help Fund the Appeal
Donate Today
The SCC decision is not in anyone but the utilities' best interest.
PEC continues to lead the campaign against Dominion and Allegheny's unnecessary transmission line. We have now filed our notice of appeal to the Virginia Supreme Court. In addition, Fauquier, Culpeper, Prince William County, Virginia's Commitment, VSEP and the PLA have filed their intent to appeal.

Matching Grant (!!) to Help Fund the Appeal

The William and Mary Greve Foundation has provided us with a matching grant. Contributions received toward the transmission line campaign before the end of 2008 will be matched dollar-for-dollar. The challenge grant is for $30,000 and so far we have raised almost half of that amount. This is a great way to make your tax-deductable gift to PEC even more valuable.

Pennsylvania has not decided;  VA and WV Decisions On Hold

Pennsylvania has yet to make a decision on their portion of the transmission line, and both Virginia and West Virginia have conditioned approval on a decision from the Keystone State. The last we heard from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission was in August, when two administrative law judges said "the costs and adverse impacts of the [transmission line] clearly outweigh the benefits of it. We are convinced that the project is driven by economics and not by reliability violations."

Thank you so much for your support. We will hold information briefings in early December to update you with the latest information. Location and times TBD.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email or call.
Very best ,
