  • At LWVUS request, LWVWV sent letters to Sens. Capito & Justice, Reps. Miller & Moore opposing Budget Reconciliation bill & the damage its Medicaid cuts will do to WV residents & health care providers.

    • Cindy Jaworski appointed as Community Engagement Coordinator to recognize her exemplary service.

    • Accepted Board resignation of Rachel Stevens.

    • Co-sponsored John Lewis Day of Action with Mountaineers Indivisible.  Jascenna Haislett spoke as LWVMM representative.

    • LWVWV should find a way to recycle Jascenna’s inspiring talk via webinar or other vehicle.

    • Co-sponsoring Community Conversations with Mountain State Spotlight -- 1 event in Kingwood (Preston County, Aug 8), 1 event at Arthurdale (Aug 9), 2 events in Morgantown (Aug 9).  MSS will conduct conversations in small groups; LWVMM will teach voters how to contact their representatives in the Legislature & Congress.

    • WAJR interview about MSS-LWVMM Community Conversations scheduled to air Jul 28 on Talk of the Town.

    • Substack continues.  100 subscribers on Jul 10; 99 on Jul 30.  LWVMorgantown.substack.com
