Neal Barkus, retired attorney & League member from Jefferson County,
submitted an article for publication in the LWV-Morgantown Substack.
It is all about the Trump Administration's demand for state voter lists.
This affects ALL OF US, including YOU.

Tell Governor Morrisey to support West Virginia families in need!
The WV Legislature has approved annual funding to help Family Support
Centers, provide childcare subsidies, fund clothing vouchers and make Legal
Aid available. These are necessary services that WV families rely on.
The governor has delayed sending these funds as typically scheduled, and
has hinted that he will withhold this funding based on a manufactured
“deficit” of his own creation. There is also a concern that he is
contemplating sending this money to businesses owned by his out of state
supporters. (WV Watch Article

As we near the celebration of our Nation's 250th anniversary, the League of
Women Voters believes we should all be aware of the Supreme Court's most
recent actions to disable the Voting Rights Act. Congress can fix this; it
is their duty.
