Maybe you have seen this already. Good stuff.
The EIA has a nice monthly report on electricity usage in the US at
http://www.eia.doe.gov/cneaf/electricity/epm/epm_sum.html

The latest one shows electrical usage dropping 4.6% in 2009 vs. 2008 and
coal-generated electricity decreasing a whooping 12.4%.  Factor in a recession, but I think this is still very good news.
