This uranium
enrichment plant produces a larger carbon footprint than the output
from the largest Nuclear Plant in North America. Yet some people out there still think that
nuclear power is CARBON FREE! Wake Up Y'all! The gaseous diffusion
plant covers 750 acres (300 ha) of a 3,425 acres (1,386 ha) site. The
four process buildings cover 74 acres (30 ha), and consume a peak
electrical demand of 3,040 megawatts. How's that for a carbon
footprint???
