Subject: [EC] Longview Tax Exempt Bonds

Longview has requested a determination by the WV Public Service Commission. that tax-exempt Industrial revenue bonds to be issued by the WV Economic Development Authority "do not offend the public interest".  The bonds were approved by the WV-EDA three years ago, but Longview now wants the PSC's blessing because that is a condition written into state law.

 

I propose to submit the attached Letter of Protest objecting to sch a determination.  The deadline is Thursday, so let me know if you have any thoughts on this issue.
