Joe Freeland and I, as members of the PEA, were involved in helping this project happen, although the Governor's office and the Depatrment of Commerece did not credit us with our efforts, we doid meet with the Presoident of Alloy, the Chairmenan of RED and offered the resources of the PEA to make this project happen.

The important this is that it is hapopening, and it illustrates that the new energy dynamic will change the way we do things...for the better of all of us and the environemnt, and the fight to slow, stop and reverse global warming.

There is an even better potential beyond energy recovery when this plant is built, and that is to have a solar cell manufacturing plant locate right on the same site, thereby reducing transportation costs and emissions, sending scrap silicon back to the Alloy plant therby reducing waste, and bring even more jobs to West Virginia...and in renewable energy industries.

All we need is an administration that pays more than lip service to renewable energy.

THIS IS AN IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENT AND A STRONG ARGUMENT FOR THE EXISTENCE OF PRAGMATIC ALTERNATIVES TO THE INCREASED TRANSPORTATION OF COAL FIRED ENERGY OFFERED BY TRAIL AND PATH.  HERE IS  A LINK TO THE RECYCLED ENERGY DEVELOPMENT WEB PAGE. LINK BELOW TO DAILY MAIL ARTICLE ON PROJECT AT ALLOY PLANT IN FAYETTE COUNTY.  TO GENERATE 44 MW FOR A COST OF 45 MILLION, SIGNIFICANTLY LESS FINANCIALLY, AND INFINITELY LESS DAMAGING ENVIRONMENTALLY.
