Subject: Please Call Your Senators and Ask them to REFRAIN from Signing a Bad Coal Ash Letter Being Circulated

Coal Ash Allies –

Thank you to the 102 groups that quickly signed on to our letter asking Senators to stand up for human health and the environment by STAYING OFF the anti-Subtitle C letter being circulated by Senators Conrad and Enzi (see attached).  The Conrad-Enzi letter asks President Obama for weak coal ash protections, but we all know that Subtitle C is the most protective option for human health and the environment because it would require basic, common-sense protections for our communities.

Now, we need you all to CALL YOUR SENATORS’ offices and say: “On behalf of our members and supporters, please ask the Senator to REFRAIN from signing the Conrad-Enzi coal ash letter asking President Obama for weak coal ash protections.”

You can find your Senators’ phone numbers here: http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm.

After you do, please reply to let me know which offices you called and how they responded.

Thanks again for continuing to fight for safe communities and a healthy environment!

Sincerely,

Lisa Widawsky
