Hi everyone!

I've attached the letter from 10 East Coast governors calling into question the need or wisdom of a 'transmission superhighway'.  It's better than I could have written myself, and much more strongly worded that I would have expected.  Although they miss the coal-connection, the Governors are now on record saying local generation is a more reliable way to meet power needs than long-distance transmission.

I think it would be wise to thank Governor Kaine for signing on, while highlighting PATH as a project that would further disadvantage off-shore wind, energy efficiency, and distributed generation.  http://www.governor.virginia.gov/AboutTheGovernor/contactGovernor.cfm
