The Dedication of the new Millstone Point Swimming Beach will take place at 11

Activities set for Saturday are a Nature & Bird Walk, Pontoon Boat
Rides, Fish Research Demonstration, and Children’s Games (fun run, face

Cheat Lake was formed in 1927 with the completion of the Lake Lynn

Cheat Lake was dedicated to the public interest “in lasting beauty for
recreation and the supplying of essential service.” The dam contains a 50
megawatt electricity generation system.
The public is invited to Family Day at Cheat Lake with the 5K race at 8 am
(Smileymiles.com), the Dedication Ceremony at 11 am, and diverse recreation
events from 1 to 3 pm.
