WHAT IS THE NATIONAL CHILDREN'S STUDY?
The National Children's Study will examine the effects of environmental influences on the health and development of more than 100,000 children across the United States with the goal to improve their health and well-being. The study has designated 105 locations in the United States where it will recruit and enroll eligible participants, and track them from before birth until their 21st birthday. The pace of the study preparations benefited from a recent Congressional appropriation of funds for fiscal year 2007.
