Monongahela National Forest and the Dolly Sods Wilderness Stewards are hosting a trailhead stewards training and picnic May 20 at Seneca Rocks Discovery Center.After the classroom session new volunteers will then need to meet with an experienced steward for a weekend practice session in the field. Volunteers will receive materials they will need as trailhead stewards and can then work at trailheads alone or with other stewards, at their convenience. There is no minimum time commitment, and those who live far away or can only occasionally volunteer their time are welcome to participate.
