Greg-
So great to see you add to the chat.
This was done completely without ped board input but will likely benefit lower greenmont if some major redevelopment takes place down there.

Hi all, I am usually silent on these emails, but I thought my long history with transportation planning in Mon County might be useful. I have been gone from Morgantown since 2009, but I was on both the Bicycle Board and the Pedestrian Safety Board when they were founded and I was active in transportation planning in the 90s and early 00s. Bill Reger-Nash, Frank Gmeindl, and others can fill in details. This bridge was discussed during the early days of the Metropolitan Area (or some similar name) planning for the county's list of projects. But I do not think any of us thought it would be pushed forward any time soon. In any case, this was discussed by many people and has not come completely out of the blue. So much time has passed, however, that it might seem like it has.

In case you haven’t seen this! Does anyone know if this was a result of Ped and/or BB push for MAP-21 funds?
