I'm forwarding to you the Pedestrian Safety Board's agenda for their meeting next Monday, 2/6.  Please look at VI. a.  They're going to try to leverage on-going and planned projects by others to include pedestrian features.  They have invited us to join them on this regarding bicycling features.  We can discuss this under the grants topic at tonight's meeting.

They are going to form groups to review the following (based on our training in PGH, do the Find for "bicycle" or "pedestrian"):
1) the WV Strategic Highway Safety Plan:http://www.transportation.wv.gov/communications/Documents/WestVirginiaStrategicHighwaySafetyPlan.pdf
2) capital improvement plans of
a) MUB, Verizon, Comcast
b) Dominion Hope
c) Mon Power
d) others? Especially re: street lighting
3) Using the Ped/Bike Benchmarking report to get some media attention:http://www.peoplepoweredmovement.org/site/index.php/site/memberservices/2012_benchmarking_report
4) Lastly, identify members to serve on (ie, inflitrate) as many boards & commissions as possible.
