The TIGER grant is intended to fund the recommendations outlined in the recently concluded University Avenue Corridor study. In my opinion, from a bicycle and pedestrian standpoint, the plans outlined will serve the corridor and city at large very well given the constraints. Sharrows on the downhill, a climbing lane on the uphill, redevelopment of Grumbein's Island -- all very good, logical, and innovative improvements.The timeline is short on this -- I am hoping to have the letter in to Mr. Mikorski's office before noon tomorrow, Tuesday the 26th.
