The racks look good.  I assume one location is near the bathrooms.  The schematic doesn’t label the buildings. Thanks for sending this out for comment and review.

Subject: [Bikeboard] FW: Request for Comment - Bike Racks at HRM

Board,

Please review and comment on the proposed bicycle parking amenities included in the Hazel Ruby renovations. In short, plans are to install 10 inverted-U style racks for a total of 20 spaces split evenly in two areas. The two areas are shown enclosed in red boxes on the “site materials” attachment.

The racks will closely emulate our bicycle storage ordinance – they are a stainless-steel variant of the typical inverted U, though their “vertical” sections aren’t exactly vertical and are not parallel.

If possible, please limit your review and comments to only the proposed bicycle parking and not the rest of the site.

Cheers,

Drew

Good morning Drew,

As discussed, please send the Bicycle Board with a request for comment on the proposed bike rack type and locations at the Hazel Ruby McQuain Park renovations.

I’ve attached a site plan and specifications for these proposed bike racks. Please let me know when this can be sent to the Bicycle Board.
