In regards to the search for 2 more candidates in becoming instructors, one of Positive Spin's board members, Rick Williams, is interested. There are two caveats: He would have to complete Traffic Skills 101. Also, he voiced a concern that he may be excluded from the process because last year he lost part of a leg, and he wouldn't be considered physically capable of completing the exam.

My understanding is that the LAB is a supporter of disability rights, and that they would provide a level playing field. I am interested in what LAB's answer would be.

Rick does have a long relationship in regards to cycling dating back to the 70's when he was on the racing circuit in Pennsylvania.

We can probably only do something significant with the $5,000 for Sharrows and BMUFL signs if we use it as the City cost share in a grant application. We will need to help the City to find appropriate grants for which to apply and to write the applications.

Concerning the Allstate $8,200, we currently have one candidate committed to become an instructor. We need 2 more and then the instructors need to arrange and deliver the courses. WVU CPASS has been open to hosting the courses.
