GRANT OPPORTUNITY!

Please share - grant level raised this year to $7500.  Deadline is March 29^th!

Highmark Foundation is pleased to present the School Grants and Awards Program.  The goal of the program is to create healthier school environments that experience positive, sustainable and lasting change through comprehensive strategies.  The School Grants and Awards Program has a new look and feel with some changes that are intended to make it easier for school to apply for the grants and implement the programs.  Now entering the seventh year, the Highmark Foundation's School Grant and Awards Program has provided more than $2.2 million to support schools in communities in Pennsylvania and West Virginia served by Highmark Inc.

Schools may apply for a school grant in one of five areas:  Bullying Prevention, Child Injury Prevention, Environmental Health, Healthy Eating & Physical Activity and School-Based Health.  ALL public, private, vocational high school, parochial and charter schools throughout West Virginia are invited to apply.  West Virginia schools are eligible for up to $7,500.
