Today's webinar was tantalizing.  Apparently, the new guide has a matrix that lists various types of bicycle facilities and then indicates the roadway characteristics in which they would be appropriate.  For example, shared lane where roadway speeds are 25 mph or less.  It also recognizes, as did the former guide, that there are different levels of cyclists (children, occasional and not confident, experienced and confident) but emphasizes that any facility must serve all levels of cyclists.  For example, if you're a competent experienced cyclist using a facility to get to work, the facility shouldn't impede you.

Wish we had a copy!
