Please attend stage 2 of the Crossroads project to help plan future growth.

Since it is impossible to safely walk to University High School after dark and dangerous to bicycle there after dark, please reply-to-all to arrange safe, economical, ecological transportation to and from there.

Subject: Crossroads Public Meeting - March 28, 2012

All:

The next Crossroads - It's Time to Chart our Future public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 7:00 PM at University High School.  I have attached the announcement flyer that includes answers to frequently asked questions about the Crossroads project.

This public meeting is titled "Understanding Future Growth".

This meeting will start with a review of what our consultants have learned listening to the community and of the draft goals for the comprehensive plans for the City of Morgantown and Town of Star City and the MPO's long-range transportation plan.  Following the review, participants will be randomly assigned to a small group and work for the remainder of the time with a trained facilitator.  While in the small group, participants will develop input and strategies around the themes of "Where should we grow" and "How should we grow".  This will include reviewing open space conservation options, allocating projected growth/development throughout the region, and expressing preferences regarding the characteristics of such growth/development.

The Crossroads joint planning project can be followed at www.CrossroadsMon.com or at facebook.com/CrossroadsMon.

Successful participation hinges on getting the word out.  We would greatly appreciate your assistance in this regard by forwarding this email to your friends, family, neighbors, and associates.

Thank you in advance for your assistance and participation.  We look forward to seeing you on March 28th.

Respectfully,
