Subject: Greater Morgantown Transportation Survey Launched!
Importance: High
Attention Community
Leaders:
As many of you are aware, the
Morgantown-Monongalia County Metropolitan Planning Organization is in the midst
of addressing opportunities for transportation demand management solutions in
the area via the TDM Feasibility Study currently being executed by the firm
Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB).
One element of this process
requires obtaining travel information from those living and working in the
study area. An on-line survey has been developed and is now ready for
distribution throughout the Greater Morgantown Area. We are asking for
your assistance in distributing the survey to the public via your normal
communication channels. This could include email communications
via your intranet; a link on your company website home page; a blurb within
your company newsletter (or other public notice); a mention of the survey at an
upcoming meeting, or any other method! The
survey will be live until May 31, 2010.
The survey can be found at MorgantownCommute.org
IMPORTANT
NOTE TO EMPLOYERS: If you are interested in obtaining a
separate copy of the survey results as completed by your employees only, follow
these easy steps PRIOR to issuing this notice to your employees:
1.
Click on the ‘MorgantownCommute.org’ link to access the
survey page and copy the URL address from your browser.
2.
Highlight the ‘MorgantownCommute.org’ address within
your email message; right click on your mouse and select ‘Hyperlink’.
3.
Paste the address into the ‘Insert Hyperlink’
dialogue box at the bottom where it says “Address” adding your company name
after the ‘=’ (equal sign) at the end of the URL address.
4.
That’s it. You are now ready to send your email
company-wide with the added benefit of tracking employee responses. All
you need to do next is contact David Ungemah via email at ungemah@pbworld.com to provide him
with your contact information for sending of your company’s survey results after completion of the survey
process.
Thank you for your anticipated cooperation in this process! To help us gauge the level of local
support, we will follow up with you in about a week to hear how you/your
organization is helping to market the survey.
For questions about this project, please contact Bill Austin
(MPO Director) at 304-291-9571. If you have technical problems with this
survey, please contact David Ungemah (PB) at ungemah@pbworld.com. For questions regarding this
communication, you may contact Tammy Ford (PB) (contact information below).
We look forward to sharing the results with you in the
coming months.
