Subject: Bike Month Proclamation

Hi Linda,

Attached, please find a draft proclamation that the Bicycle Board would like the Mayor to proclaim no later than May 1.  The proclamation is of May as Morgantown Bike Month.

In each of the last 3 years, the Mayor has proclaimed May as Bike Month in Morgantown.  This year, it is even more appropriate than in past years because Morgantown has made such great strides in becoming a bicycle friendly community and has some substantive plans for continuing to move vigorously forward.

As in the past years, we would appreciate your putting the attached into the appropriate format for a proclamation.

We are copying Mayor Manilla on this message to ask his concurrence on the proclamation and his commitment to present it at the earliest convenient City Council meeting.
