Hello Bike Board!
We've been talking a lot about getting the social rides started back up. Tonight's pretty close to a full moon and we've got excellent weather, so let's ride!
If you're on Facebook but don't know about the Social Rides group, check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/MowtownSocialRides/
Here's the verbiage I provided for the event description:
It's been too long - let's restart these social rides with a special full-moon ride! Have you never ridden at night? You're in for a treat. The weather couldn't be more perfect.
Make sure to bring a set of lights, some noisemakers, and whatever rations you need to get your creaky pandemic bones back in the saddle.
We'll do as we have done - explore generally unknown routes, whimsical cut throughs, odd alleys, maybe visit some public art. We'll climb the hills - ya can't avoid them - and we'll roll down the other side to the creek bottoms.
We'll have ya back before you turn into a pumpkin at midnight. We'll make a cloverleaf of a route, giving you a chance to hop off at least once in the middle if you want a shorter ride
Guidelines:
We’re a pack. Not a mass.
TAKE A MASK TO DON WHEN YOU'RE NEAR OTHERS
STOP AT YELLOW AND RED LIGHTS + YIELD AT STOP SIGNS
STICK TOGETHER + STAY IN ONE LANE + HOLD YOUR LINE
RESPECT ONE ANOTHER AND OTHER ROAD USERS
CALL OUT CARS + COMMUNICATE WITH THE PACK
