Bicycle Board Members,

What are your thoughts on this?  What, if anything do you want to do with it?  I was going to lead the MPO participants on a ride from downtown down the rail trail to 8th St. and then back to town and up the trail to the Green Bag Rd. where we'd discuss crossing hazards and then onto Marilla for free beer and goodies.  Unfortunately, I ma not be able to do that so I need to know if anyone will take the lead on this.  Recall the MPO makes the county wide transportation plan and the last version was the first to seriously address non-motorized transportation.

Subject: Upcoming MPO Conference

Frank,

We are getting ready to put together the MPO Conference website and I’d like to confirm the contact s.   It is my understanding that those needing to rent bicycles should contact Chip Wamsley at 304-296-CHIP (2447). Will he also be the contact for those who do not need bicycles but who want to participate in the ride? Also, who is developing the mobile lab agenda for cycling and pedestrian issues we have been discussing?

Please let me know how I can be assistance in this matter.

Thanks,

Bill Austin, AICP
