Good morning Chip, Jesse and all,
Just thought I would throw out the option of the Morgantown Public Library which has meeting rooms in basement and 2nd floor.  They do close at 8PM.   MRTC also had to find a new space.   Also- Public Safety Building does have the larger Training Room available.

Social Rides at Night-   You would need to discuss with the city and BOPARC if having a night time social ride on the rail-trail.

Jesse-  there is a Public Art on Trails webinar -free- hosted by Rails to Trails Conservancy on Tues. June 18.  3-4:15.  I will send details to you and others at Arts Mon in next email and feel free to share.  I hope to listen in.  I have several art projects needing funding.

Also MRTC is starting to raise funds for several bike fix-it stations if any of you would like to help with ideas on fund-raising.  It would include fix-it station, air pump, on concrete pad and cost is about $1,800 a piece with volunteer labor.   They would go possibly at Star City, Masontown, Van Voorhis and other Trailheads-  not in city limits.  There is one or two going in at HRM park as part of renovations.

Have a great Friday, Ella

I could speak with executive leadership at Arts Mon about using that space. I cannot promise anything but it’s a big space and not regularly in use in evenings, plus there are available tables and chairs to seat many, and the location is walking distance to city hall, rail trail,  etc.

Also, regarding social rides, I still would like to host a night ride series on the trail akin to Atlanta Moon Ride or a lantern parade. For anyone wondering, I also haven’t lost sight/passion for the Open Streets initiative however the murals project has taken a lot of work to get off the ground this year. Optimistically we might be able to organize an event in the Fall when students return.

Hello Everybody,

First there is no meeting tonight.  The room we usually use isn't available until the first of next year due to some renovations going on at the Public Safety Building.

We need to find another place for meetings.  In the past we have have used the library (sometimes it's hard to get a room and they close at 8), Panera Bread and Black Bear in Evansdale, and the Blue Moose (they are closing earlier now). Get your thinking caps on and come up with some ideas and also your thoughts on days that you can and cannot meet.  It would be nice to get together next week.

With signs and markings going down on the road we need to get back to looking at a map that is easily used from mobile devices, get a plan for posting on social media and doing social rides, look into partnering with a group to do some ongoing stations on commuter routes like boulders Pastries on the Path ( https://www.boulderfoodrescue.org/potp/ ).

Put your thinking caps on and respond!

Chip
