I briefly mentioned the Android/iPhone App that
Charlottesville's-Albemarle MPO used to collect data.

They are now following up with a survey.
In their progress
report they mention that participants may be eligible for
prizes if they record 10 trips. I wonder if that skewed results?
It’s been a little over two weeks since we launched
Cville Bike mApp and a lot has
happened. We have collected data,
lots of it. As of May 2
and
, we have collected 56,576
data
points, for 853 trips from 113 users, and those numbers are
continuing to climb.
We are hoping to have 1,500 total trips
recorded by the end of the recording period.
Anyways, It may be fruitful to find out how successful their data
collection initiative has been up to this point.
