Don,

For the shared path line directives, all the credit goes to Jonathan.  He did all the digging and assembling.  I'm just the messenger.

As I read them, the guidelines he provided are from 2 sources: AASHTO:  Guide for the Development of Bicycle Facilities, 1999 and MUTCD:  Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, 2003 Edition, both well-established documents so I'd say the "directives" are in existence.

Thank you for your digging and assembly and for your sharing your proposals with us all.

Subject: [Bikeboard] Yet another handout

Barbara,

Attached is yet another handout that I would like you to print and copy for the TC tomorrow.  This one provides authoritative guidelines for rail-trail stripes.

To avoid confusion, I'm attaching again, the 3 handouts that I'd like you to print and copy for the TC. They include:

  1. Bicycle Board Membership List
  2. Press Release for Shared Lane Markings
  3. Authoritative Guidelines for Trail Stripes.

Thanks!

See you tomorrow!

Frank
