Hi all,
I am happy to attend your meetings if you let me know when and where.  I think the meetings may have previously been in conflict with the Green Team meeting which is now typically the first Monday of the month at 5:30PM.  But these cycling events at Marilla Park or in the Wharf would need a BOPARC person for best communication.

ANOTHER NON-RACE CYCLING EVENT
Some of you are aware that the National Rails to Trails Conservancy is planning a mini-sojourn of approximately 100 cyclists for 3 days of cycling and a focus on the missing links to connecting the Mon River Rail-Trails to other rail-trails in every direction.  This will be the weekend of April 24-26.  On April 24- cycling to end of Marion County Trail just beyond Pricketts Fort, On April 25- cycling to Cheat Lake Trail (some road and hope to have gates open at Cheat Lake Dam to access Cheat Lake Trail) and On April 26- cycling on Deckers Creek Trail to mile 19 end.  There will be a “shovel ceremony” in Point Marion to mark the start of construction of the Sheepskin Trail.  I will be able to announce more opportunities for local cyclists after they begin to fill up registration.

On March 17, next Tuesday, Morgantown City Council will be signing a resolution to support a long distance network of rail-trails.  See attached map.  Feel free to come out to the city council meeting as a message of support.  The same resolution is getting sign on across the network from Ohio and Parkersburg into Pennsylvania and up the Great Allegheny Passage.

Thank you for your work in turning out the cyclists to the Greenbag Road public meeting.  Comments are still being taken online.  Ella
